Now the cooperation between SV Guntamatic Ried and the traditional German club Schalke 04 is official. As already reported on Tuesday in the OÖN, the two clubs will play a one-two in the future, which does not involve any major commitments. The two clubs work together primarily at the scouting level.
“We can rely on the network of the new Schalke squad planner Ben Manga, who has employees in a total of 15 countries. The name Schalke also helps to convince players of the right intermediate step Ried who would not be within our reach under normal circumstances,” Ried’s sports director Wolfgang Fiala confirmed to the OÖN. How successful such collaborations are can only be evaluated in daily work. Schalke also cooperates with the Swiss club Aarau and the Dutch club Venlo. Whether and which players a club like Ried gets often depends on whether you only contribute to a player’s salary, cover it in full or whether the parent club pays everything thanks to the prospect of match practice.
The fact that they can work well is proven by Admira, Ried’s strongest competitor in the title fight. From partner club Celtic Glasgow they received an absolute top performer in Matthew Anderson. The Innviertel does not use an investor model like the one operated by second division club SKN St. Pölten. Independence remains fully guaranteed.
