Suzuki Launches New Retro Scooter, The Price Is Only This Much – detikOto

Jakarta

Two-wheeled manufacturer from Japan, Suzuki, officially launched Suzuki US125T for consumers in China. This automatic scooter has a retro look like motorbikes made in Italy. So, what are the advantages offered?

Obtained from GreatbikerMonday (21/10), the Suzuki US125T at first glance resembles a factory retro scooter that has been launched for a long time, namely the Suzuki Saluto. This vehicle is the result of a combination of classic design and cutting-edge technology that makes consumers tempted to buy it.

Like European motorbikes, the lines of the Suzuki US125T are designed to be completely rounded. However, there are sharp touches in several parts, starting from the head, face, to both sides of the vehicle.

The headlamp or main light of the Suzuki US125T is not made rounded, but rather square. Meanwhile, the Suzuki logo looks quite dominant and is installed on the front. Then the seat is covered in a different color compared to the main body, and the exhaust is covered in a special silver-colored protector.

Simply put, the Suzuki US125T is a luxury version of the Suzuki Saluto which was launched first. In fact, to add to the ‘expensive’ impression, the manufacturer has added a chrome touch to several parts.

The features are no joke, this automatic motorbike is equipped with a number of standard technologies, starting from full LED lighting, full digital instrument panel, cell phone charging port and super spacious trunk. However, unfortunately, the key is still conventional, aka not keyless.

The Suzuki US125T has an empty weight of 110 kg with a fuel capacity of 5.9 liters. Then the tires measure 12 inches at the front and 10 inches at the rear. The brake uses a single disc mounted on the front wheel.

The Suzuki US125T uses a 125cc single cylinder engine with an injection combustion system. This provision makes the motorbike capable of producing 6.9 kW of power at 7,000 rpm and 10 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm.

Even though it offers a number of advantages, this motorbike is priced cheaply in China. In fact, if converted into rupiah, the price is around IDR 21 million. Very interesting, isn’t it?

Suzuki US125T: The Retro Scoot That Dares to Impress

Jakarta – Ladies and gentlemen, hold onto your helmets because Suzuki has just unleashed the Suzuki US125T on an unsuspecting China, and it’s… well, it’s got ‘retro’ written all over it—like a hipster who just discovered coffee! Designed with the kind of nostalgia that could make your grandma’s kitchen look modern, this automatic scooter is your ticket to becoming the coolest person in the neighborhood.

So, what’s the scoop, you ask? Well, slip into your primes and let’s get into it! The US125T, in what can only be described as a ‘flex’ move, resembles the Suzuki Saluto, which rolled out ages ago in the scooter hall of fame. You’ve got all this classic charm mixed with, believe it or not, some advanced technology. Think of it as your favorite pair of jeans—comfort meets style!

Design: A Nod to the Classics with a Touch of Modern Moxie

At first glance, the US125T doubles as a walking NFT reminiscent of vintage European scooters. The aesthetic? Totally rounded lines, but don’t be deceived! This beauty has some sharp twists—specifically around the headlight area. That headlamp is a square—yes, you heard that right—square! Who knew Suzuki could channel a geometrical essence so boldly?

The logo? Oh, it’s not just playing peek-a-boo; it’s front and center, making statements like the town crier it always dreamed of being. And let’s talk about that seat! With a color that says “look but don’t sit,” it truly embodies the lavish life. Meanwhile, the exhaust boasts a shiny silver protector, because who doesn’t want their exhaust to look like it just came back from a spa day?

Luxury Meets Practicality

Now, I know what you’re thinking—how much can one scooter possibly dazzle? Well, buckle up! The Suzuki US125T is like the luxury version of the Saluto—more chrome, more style, and an air of ‘money can’t buy taste’ that even posh grandmas would approve of. Packed with features that make city rides a breeze, the US125T flaunts a full LED lighting system and a full digital instrument panel—maybe, just maybe, it’s smarter than me!

Your daily tech needs? Covered! It’s equipped with a cellphone charging port because, let’s be honest, who rides without their phone these days? The only kicker? They’ve stuck with a conventional key. No keyless entry here, folks! Just you, your scooter, and the good old-fashioned reminder that you fancy a touch of nostalgia with your modern life.

Specs That Speak Volumes

Let’s break it down a little. This beauty weighs in at 110 kg, dripping with 5.9 liters of fuel capacity, and those tires? A sprightly 12 inches in the front and a cheekier 10 inches in the back. Suzuki’s gone with a single disc on the front wheel because, frankly, why complicate a perfectly good ride?

Under the hood (or seat, as it were), the beast is powered by a 125cc single-cylinder engine that prides itself on inhaling the future with an injection combustion system. The specs game is strong here: 6.9 kW of power at 7,000 rpm and 10 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. For the price, about IDR 21 million, we can only yell, “Shut up and take my money!”

Conclusion: The Cost of Cool

So there you have it! The Suzuki US125T is not just a scooter; it’s a lifestyle statement wrapped in retro glam with modern conveniences. Whether you’re looking to turn heads or simply get around the city, this machine ticks all the boxes. And at that attractive price point, why not treat yourself? After all, life’s too short to ride boring scooters, right?
