The Unitary Union of Workers in Education of Peru (Sutep) announced that he will hold a march on Thursday, April 7, in the face of the social crisis facing the country.
“In hours of struggle, Sutep calls on social organizations to mobilize in defense of the popular economy and make the rich pay the cost of the crisis. The sutep will take to the streets this April 7 as part of CITE and our headquarters, the CGTP”, said the union in its statement.

In addition, the sutep demanded that President Pedro Castillo “end improvisation, breach of commitments and put a stop to inflation.” He also questioned his decision to establish mandatory social immobilization on April 5 and then back down on the measure.
“The Government’s decision to declare total immobility in Lima and Callao and then lift it in the face of popular pressure demonstrates its inability to find lasting solutions, affecting the population’s right to work”, indicated the union.
“We demand the appointment of suitable ministers. We believe that a head like Rosendo Serna must, first, respect the law, install collective bargaining, respect the rights of workers and organizations and resign if it is confirmed that he copied the doctoral thesis”, he added.
