“Sustaining the Giant Open over time”

Igor Juzon, CEO of Eventeam, talks about the collaboration with the French Swimming Federation on the Giant Open, the specificities of the event and its objective to last over time.

What prompted Eventeam to partner with the French Swimming Federation for the Giant Open?

It is very important for Eventeam to support the French Swimming Federation in the perspective of hosting an international meeting, to be committed alongside the federation in this spirit, to bring our expertise, our experience and our know- TO DO. It’s true that France hosts major events and it’s important to host an international swimming meeting.

One year before the JOP, is it important for you to promote the quality of the organization of international events?

Completely. For a long time, France has wanted to host major events. This year 2023 will be rich in events with the Rugby World Cup, the Alpine Skiing World Championships, the world cycling and para-athletics championships. This must continue to show that France is truly a land of sport. And we have been involved in events and sports marketing for more than 20 years, we have worked with federations, the Olympic Committee for more than 20 years and it is true that we have worked in many countries . With the Paris Olympics, these will be our sixth Games. We are rather delighted to host these events, we, as an actor committed to French sport. It’s true that it’s a great opportunity to illustrate ourselves.

“Highlighting the spectator experience and the show”

What will be the specificities of the Giant Open?

The high level is essential, but so is the notion of spectacle, of sporting spectacle, by enhancing all the moments of the event. both in the presentation of the teams, the customer experience, the spectators. We want to bring about a very important dynamic that we can also see in many sports, which have also adapted to everything that is happening in the world. Today, there is an expectation on the part of spectators, fans, enthusiasts, families. It is essential for us, as for the enthusiasts, the sponsors and the companies who will attend events, to bring this touch that we have been able to show on other types of events, other sports, in highlighting the spectator experience and the show.

It will be in a way a double challenge with the show and the challenge of uniting the public 498 days before the JOP?

Yes, of course. It’s important for the federation, and I don’t want to speak for him, but also for us who accompany him. It is essential to highlight our French athletes who have a major deadline next year. We are quite happy to expand the community, to bring in new partners who just want to start feeling the spirit of the Games. We are starting to get closer to it, we feel it with the marketing of the ticket office where there is a lot of waiting. It is also an important element for the Giant Open this year and next year, precisely to enlarge the community.

Can we say that the Giant Open will be spread over time?

Yes. We support the French Swimming Federation over three years. The goal is to sustain it over time.
