RIYADH- The Anti-Corruption Authority (Nasaha) has announced that the Royal Commission for Al-Ula Governorate has suspended CEO Engineer Amar bin Salih Abdul Rahman Al-Madani. The reason is that the office is complicit in crimes like abuse of power and money laundering.
The corruption involved winning contracts from King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy for his own National Talent Company. More than 20 crores were earned through these contracts. Although he officially left the company to join the government, he continued to own the company. The company’s services were recommended for various departments under the Al Ula Royal Commission. He won many projects like this. It helped to get personal favors and profit from the companies contracting with the authority.
Nasaha informed that the legal proceedings will be referred to the judiciary following completion in accordance with the rules and instructions.
