The Egyptian Syndicate of Musical Professions issues a decision to stop the permission to sing given to singer Omar Kamal, following his words in America regarding the artist Captain Hani Shaker were considered insulting and insulting.
During his singing tour in the United States, the popular singer Omar Kamal made positions on his Facebook page, which the Musical Professions Syndicate considered an insult to the person and value of the Syndicate of Musical Professions, the artist Hani Shaker.
Although he was referred for investigation, a decision was taken once morest him to stop the permission to sing given to him, and the statement signed by the same captain said: “The Syndicate of Musical Professions decided to stop the singer Omar Kamal’s statement and summon him for investigation due to what he said on social media on Facebook.”
The decision was justified by the words of the union member, artist Hilmi Abdel Baqi, who said, “The reason is a live broadcast that Omar Kamal conducted on his page while he was in America, which he returned and deleted later, and included comments on Captain Shaker and two women, and this does not fit, according to the union, with the morals of Egyptian artists.”
The syndicate quickly issued a clarification statement saying: “The syndicate, its board of directors, and members of the general assembly reject any transgression or encroachment on an artistic symbol and value that affected the Egyptian song throughout its history and remained a symbol of giving and dedication like the artist Hani Shaker, the captain of the musical professions. Any aspiring or dreaming of undermining him.”
The statement continued: “The Syndicate rejects and condemns the recent inappropriate appearance of any Egyptian singer on social media, and the uttering of words that have suggestive and immoral connotations that degrade the value and destiny of the Egyptian artist and infringe the modesty of the group.”
Singer Kamal denied all the accusations in the statement, and announced that he would return from America in mid-March, without indicating that he would comply with the decision of the union that summoned him to investigate what he said or what was attributed to him.
