Suspend the use of its own Exynos Galaxy S23 to use Qualcomm processors – ePrice.HK

For the Galaxy S flagship series launched in recent years, Samsung will be equipped with different processors according to different markets. For example, the North American and Hong Kong markets use Qualcomm Snapdragon, while the European market uses Samsung Exynos processors. The performance of Exynos is not as good as that of Snapdragon, which makes European consumers quite dissatisfied, and the unfair treatment is expected to change next year.

Exynos 2200 gets negative reviews

It is believed that Garyeon Han, a whistleblower from South Korea, hinted on Twitter that Samsung has not continued to develop the flagship Exynos processor, which means that the flagship Galaxy S23 series released next year will use the Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. It is said that Samsung has suspended the development of the flagship Exynos processor, because the Exynos 2200 used in the Galaxy S22 series this year has problems such as heat and stutter, which affects the reputation of the Exynos processor.

New Samsung processors 2025 are back

Although the Galaxy S23 series adopts the Snapdragon processor, it is said that Samsung’s own processor is expected to return in 2025, that is, when the Galaxy S25 series is launched. It is rumored that Samsung will follow Apple to develop a dedicated processor for flagship mobile phones. It will be released in 2025, but may be published under other names at that time in order to draw a line from Exynos.
