“I am a mum who made mistakes but I never abused my children, I never had any apparent neglect of my children.” Poupette Kenza, Kenza Benchrif of her real name, took the floor to defend herself while for several weeks this mother, a professional influencer, has been at the heart of a controversy. Some denounce an overexposure of his two children.
“I have been locked in my room for several days, I no longer watch the networks or what is happening around me. I am accused of such dramatic things…”, testifies Kenza Benchrif Monday evening while speaking on TPMP, the program of Cyril Hanouna.
“As a caring and loving mom, I’m not a perfect mom,” continues the one who has a million subscribers on Snapchat.
Denounced videos
Poupette Kenza, a housewife and mother of two from Rouen, who has made her daily life her business on social networks, was placed in police custody this weekend. An investigation was opened in mid-February for “subtraction by the parent of a minor child without legitimate reason from his legal obligations compromising his health, safety, morality or his education”, confirms the prosecution to BFMTV.com. Several reports have indeed been made.
The 22-year-old is suspected of abuse, or at least neglect, of her two children. She exposes their daily life on her social networks like on Snapchat, where she is followed by a million subscribers, on Instagram (878,000 followers), and now on TikTok (775,000 subscribers).
Critics have been denouncing his behavior for several months. On one of her videos that she posts, we can see the mother of the family kitchen knife in one hand, newborn in the other. In another sequence, we can see her doing her dishes, her child on all fours on the work surface, unsupervised or even walking her baby, unrestrained, in a stroller.
Suspicions of abuse
For more than a week, a new controversy, relayed by other influencers like Aqababe, broke out after her little boy, born in May 2022, had to be hospitalized. “I’m going to the hospital right away, I was washing Khalis, maybe you’ll tell me it’s nothing, I was washing Khalis, I think his head has tripled volume,” she explains in a video. An attitude already denounced by his detractors, accusing him of filming himself at that time.
“After a day of stress, invocations, the doctor just came to the room just a minute ago. I had to hurry to give you some news so as not to worry you more than that. The results of L “MRIs are very positive. Your great-nephew, my son, my warrior, my king is out of the woods,” she announced in another video filmed from the hospital room.
“All the videos that were sent against me were out of context. I could explain the videos one by one, she justified herself on TPMP. (…) It’s so unfair. I’m in a fight. When I will have finished this fight, I will move on to the next fight, that of social networks. I do not want people to defame me, “she concludes.
