Suspected fraud calls 15 years of Alzheimer’s research into question

Additional investigations must still be carried out, but a detailed article published on Thursday par Science could well call into question more than 15 years of research on Alzheimer’s. The specialist journal investigated suspected data falsifications in several studies for six months, including a landmark article in the field, published in 2006 and cited around 2,300 times since. This publication, from a team from the University of Minnesota, provided proof of the role of a specific beta amyloid protein (Aβ*56) in memory degradation in mice.
