It was via images from the City’s surveillance cameras observed in the “control room” of the Charleroi police tower that suspicious behavior was noticed on March 4 between rue Turenne and rue du Beffroi in Charleroi . At 8 p.m. sharp, a street deal is observed and a suspect hides something in the posts of the barriers placed on the spot. At 8:10 p.m., Miloud was arrested at the scene by a patrol. Not far from him, three pellets of heroin are discovered, as well as four others hidden in the post of a barrier.

The dumplings were on the ground

Just before his arrest, the surveillance cameras managed to capture two scenes: the first concerns a contact between Miloud and a lady. And, a little later, Miloud proceeds to an exchange with the passenger of a Peugeot. But despite the presence of these images, the 21-year-old swears not to be a street dealer and not to have possessed narcotic material. “The dumplings were found on the ground by the police. Me, I work left and right and I was passing at that time with a friend“, explains the detained man.

For the prosecution, Miloud did indeed carry out a street dealing activity in the city center. In addition to the images from the cameras, the driver of the Peugeot clearly identified the defendant as being a dealer. A 12-month prison sentence and a fine of 1,000 euros are required by the prosecution. Without however opposing a suspended sentence. For the defense, Miloud must be acquitted for the benefit of the doubt. The latter had nothing on him and the three famous meatballs were near him. Which doesn’t prove his guilt.

Judgment for July 13.
