The gym, the temple of well-being

He gets kicked out of his gym… for an amazing reason
On TikTok, a user by the name of Blind Tobes shared his bad experience. To set the context, the latter is visually impaired.
In a TiKTok video that now has over 3.5 million views, Tobdy Addison of his real name, told the misadventure which had happened to him. When he was 17.
Today, he can only see at 4%. At the time, the teenager practiced high-frequency sports at the gym. While he is in full exercise, a woman came up to him to argue with him.
“Oh, are you enjoying the view?” », she asked, annoyed. “At first I didn’t know she was talking to me because I wasn’t doing anything wrong”he explains on the video.
“Why do you keep staring at me? Stop, you’re scary! “, insisted his interlocutor. Tobdy then understands that this woman thinks he is watching her. He then grabs his cane to show her that he is blind.
But she “didn’t want to know anything”. A gym manager had to intervene. He asked the visually impaired young man to leave. “It’s really sad that some women feel uncomfortable. Or anxious in a gym because of a small percentage of people who acted inappropriately”he said, moved.
And to conclude: “It was hard, it took a toll on my self-confidence and made me feel like being blind was a problem, that it might cause problems”. Hoping that his testimony awakens consciences…
