A new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 special event has arrived, bringing new rewards and bonuses for players.
Modern Warfare 3 breaks all engagement records from Modern Warfare 2019 and Modern Warfare 2.
New maps, game modes, and weapons will be introduced to the game when Season 1 begins on December 6. And with Sledgehammer Games actively engaging with the community and addressing many of the game’s major concerns — with the exception of SBMM — it’s clear that MW3 was a positive FPS experience for many fans of the series.

However, until then, players will have plenty to do with the launch of a surprise event.
Modern Warfare 3 has launched a new surprise event titled “The Return of Makarov”, which sees the return of one of the series’ most notorious villains, Vladimir Makarov.
The event started on November 24 and continues until end of the monthallowing players to enjoy a ton of new rewards during the event, centered around the ultranationalist Russian private military company, the Konni Group.
“The Return of Makarov” offers players an exciting opportunity to earn 11 new rewards, including unique in-game items such as stickers, double XP tokens, a new Konni Group emblem, a special weapon charm and a map visit.

The highlight of these rewards is the universal Makarov camouflage, which can be applied to any weapon in the game.

What’s even better is that the event is entirely structured to reward players simply for playing MW3. They will need to accumulate around 213,200 XP to unlock all the rewards. This approach means players can play their way without needing specific challenges or changes to their usual playstyle.
In addition, an important detail, there is a bonus added for players who own the Nemesis Makarov operator skin. Equipping this skin allows players to earn an additional 1,000 XP on top of their regular earnings per match, speeding up their progress.

The event also coincides with a Double XP event taking place from November 22 to 27meaning players can maximize their XP, Weapon XP, and Battle Pass XP gains, making unlocking rewards easier, especially for those with limited play time.
