Surge EGMS Appoints Two New Directors

PT Solusi Sinergi Digital Tbk (WIFI)-Surge announced changes to the management structure of PT Solusi Sinergi Digital Tbk. The Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS) decided to appoint Erwin Tanjung as Commercial Director and Mohammad Mustaghfirin as Network Director.

With the experience they have, it is hoped that both of them will be able to optimize their potential, especially in the telecommunications business segment which will be the main contributor, and can improve the company’s performance and have a big impact on society by providing reliable, affordable internet.

Before joining Surge (WIFI), Erwin Tanjung served as Vice President Sales and Marketing for Telkomsel Sumatra Area, and Mohammad Mustaghfirin served as Vice President for Network Performance & Service Management at Telkomsel.

Both have more than 25 years of experience in the telecommunications industry and are at the forefront of leading Telkomsel in their respective fields.

Surge (WIFI) continues to expand its focus on the telecommunications infrastructure sector and digital ecosystem development in Indonesia. The Company prepares itself to face increasing connectivity needs in the future through an affordable high-speed internet program.

To date, Surge operates 7,000 km of fiber optic backbone infrastructure with a large capacity that crosses railway lines and other routes on the island of Java. In addition, the company also invests in providing bandwidth capacity up to 64,000 Gbps.

As an effort to support the development of Cloud Computing, Surge (WIFI) builds and operates 58 edge data centers (EDC) in various cities on the island of Java, with the potential to expand to 592 locations in the region, and will continue to grow throughout Indonesia.

Currently, EDC is used by various ISPs for colocation and content delivery network (CDN) solutions to support service providers cloud.

For your information, Surge (WIFI) has also started collaboration with Arsari Group through Arsari Sentra Data which invests in the company to realize the joint target of providing reliable and affordable internet infrastructure for 25 million households.

The Company also collaborates with PT Indonesia Connectivity Investment (Iconvest), including sharing competency and sharing capacity.
Another collaboration is with Pertamina Gas Negara (PGN) through its subsidiary PT Integration Network Ecosystem (Weave) in developing gas pipeline networks and providing ICT services for the household and commercial sectors.

In addition, the company completed the first phase of construction of 200 thousand homepass for ISPs (internet service provider) lokal. (Ant/N-2)
