The director of the Fire Department, Baltazar Solano, announced the construction of a new station in the Port of La Libertad, near Surf City, with the aim of improving emergency response times on the Salvadoran coast.
“We are going to build a station in the Port of La Libertad, adjacent to the Surf City ring and we would have an answer for (beaches) El Tunco, San Diego and the highway to San Salvador, which usually has traffic accidents on vacation,” Solano reported in a television interview.
This station will allow the institution to attend to any type of risk situation in an area of approximately 14 linear kilometers, from the beaches of San Diego to El Tunco.
In addition to the station in the Port of La Libertad, Solano outlined plans to expand coverage in the east of the country, with the planned construction of a station in Santa Rosa de Lima, La Unión.
