Actor and MP Suresh Gopi’s brother Sunil Gopi arrested in Coimbatore in land scam case. Sunil was arrested by the Coimbatore Crime Branch in a case of embezzling Rs 97 lakh by selling land in disguise. Sunil had bought 4.52 acres of land in Coimbatore Navakkara. The transaction was later canceled by the court. Sunil hid this and sold the land to Giridharan, a native of Coimbatore. Giridharan came to know regarding the fraud at the time of registration. He then lodged a complaint with the police. Sunil, who was produced in court, was remanded.
