Sure, Raina is there to break into the IPL

It has been confirmed that ‘Mr. IPL’ Suresh Raina will also be in the new season of IPL. As a part-time bowler, he is not here to impress on the field with his bat and fielding prowess.

This was officially announced by Star Sports. Apart from Raina, former India coach Ravi Shastri is also on the commentary panel.

Ravi Shastri returns to the commentary panel following seven years. The style of describing the player’s play is equally popular among cricket fans in India.

Raina, meanwhile, joins the commentary panel following failing to be part of any team in the megastars. This is the first time a player has come to comment in the IPL.

Star Sports has released a list of 80 commentators, including Shastri and Raina. The IPL will be telecast in Hindi, English, Kannada, Telugu, Malayalam, Bengali, Tamil and Marathi.

Suresh Raina and Ravi Shastri will be with the Hindi commentary team. Apart from them, Aakash Chopra, Irrfan Pathan, Gautam Gambhir and Parthiv Patel are also part of the Hindi team.

Kapil Dev, Harsha Bhogle, Matthew Hayden, Kevin Pietersen, Ian Bishop and Murali Karthik cover the IPL world feed commentary.

Former Indian cricketers Tinu Yohannan, Vishnu Hariharan, Shias Mohammad, Raifi Gomez and C.M. Deepak narrates the game in Malayalam.
