Supreme Travel has been declared bankrupt

Supreme Travel announces on its website “with great sadness and a heavy heart that Supreme Travel has been declared bankrupt as of 03/18/2024 following a decision by the Gothenburg District Court”. The district court has appointed lawyer Johan Pellegrini, Rosengrens Advokatbyrå, as bankruptcy administrator.

Customers with a booked trip are encouraged to contact the Swedish Consumer Agency and the bankruptcy trustee. In 2022, the company had a turnover of 37 million and made a small profit of 141,000 kroner. At the time, there were three employees. Supreme Travel Sweden was founded in October 2018 by Jon Tormodsson, who previously ran several travel companies, both as owner and CEO.

On the website, the company writes: “We understand that this creates great frustration and disappointment, especially for those who have booked a trip with us. “

One of the affected customers is Mälarö Hockey, which loses 1.2 million kroner according to Aftonbladet.
– When they sent the invoice, they said we should pay as soon as possible. So we paid just over 1.2 million to them and so the SAS plane and the whole fader roll were booked. Now everyone is saddened. It’s a soup, says the boys’ team coach David Lindquist.
25 children’s dream trip to the USA with five games and two NHL games does not seem to be happening now.
Bankruptcy administrator Johan Pellegrini at Rosengren’s law firm says that there is certainly a chance for Mälarö Hockey to get back the money they spent.
– They may be entitled to compensation according to the Travel Guarantee Act. I cannot yet comment on the possibility of a dividend in the bankruptcy, but all creditors known to me will receive information regarding this, says Pellegrini to Aftonbladet.

Travel News is looking for Jon Tormodsson for a comment.
