Supreme Judicial Council issued notice to Justice Mazahar on complaints

The lawyers’ organizations had demanded action against Justice Mazahar and his resignation for his involvement in the audio leak scandal. In this regard, the sources say that the Attorney General will appear as a prosecutor in the next session of the Council, Justice Mazahir Naqvi will also have the authority to challenge the proceedings of the Council in the open court. will be entitled to privileges.

It should be noted that ten complaints were sent to the Judicial Council against Justice Mazahir Naqvi, the matter was handed over to Justice Sardar Tariq Masood to give a legal opinion on the complaints.

Justice Sardar Tariq Masood thoroughly examined the complaints against Justice Mazahar Ali Akbar Naqvi and sent his legal opinion to the Chairman Supreme Judicial Council. After receiving the opinion, it was decided to call a meeting of the Supreme Judicial Council.

Earlier, Justice Sardar Masood has also given legal opinion on complaints against former Chief Justice Saqib Nisar, Umar Atta Bandial, Justice Ejaz-ul-Ahsan and Justice Ayesha Malik.
