Supreme Court’s Big Decision: Placing Placards of Politicians on Development Projects Banned – Pakistan

The Supreme Court once once more imposed a ban on putting up plaques of politicians on development projects and called for an implementation report from the federal and provincial governments in 2 weeks and a report from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government on spending development funds in accordance with the constitution and law. He remarked that all political parties, including the opposition, are on the same page in the matter of personal publicity and development funds. If they do development work from their own pockets, then they must put up plaques. The work that was being done during Parvaizalhi’s time is still being done in Punjab.

A two-member bench headed by Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa and comprising Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan heard the case.

Chief Justice Qazi Faizaisa remarked that Pakistan is a democratic country and not a monarchy, the people in Pakistan are not subjects of any ruler.

The Supreme Court said that can public money be spent once morest the constitution and law? All political parties are violating court orders on the issue of development funds and publicity. Recommended for implementation.

Government lawyers have assured that they will ask their respective governments to implement the court decision.

The Supreme Court has directed the Chief Secretary to submit an implementation report regarding the distribution of government funds in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The Chief Justice of Pakistan disposed of 46 cases in 5 days in the Supreme Court Karachi Registry

Chief Justice Faiz Isa remarked that all political parties are on the same page on the issue of personal publicity and development funds, on which the Advocate General Punjab told the court that he had asked the government to implement the Supreme Court decision.

The Chief Justice said to the Advocate General Punjab that it seems you have not read today’s and yesterday’s newspapers, the poor people have finally spoiled the governments?

Chief Justice Faiz Isa remarked that if you want to compete, then do it on the issue of which politician paid how much income tax, if you do development work from your own pocket, then you must put up plaques, there is no opposition on this issue, everyone is on the same page.

The Chief Justice said that it has become clear that even the worst political opponents agree on something. He asked if the constitution allows money to be spent without the approval of the assembly.

Chief Justice Faiz Isa said that why do members of the assembly go and fight elections? The main purpose of going to the assembly is to pass legislation and get permission to spend funds.

Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan remarked that in the name of the development scheme, the members of the assembly squander crores of rupees, the chief justice said that why are they afraid of the assembly? If you want to spend funds, take approval from the assembly, people should also know where the money is being spent.
