The Supreme Court of Pakistan has sought the summary of annual development plan from the federal and provincial governments.

In a case related to the issue of development funds in the federation and the four provinces, the court also sought details of block allocation schemes or umbrella schemes.

The court ordered that annual development plan summary of the recently approved budget should be submitted under the signature of the finance secretary or the chief secretary.

During the hearing, Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa remarked that we are hearing the case in the context of protecting public money, governments must spend money but there should be transparency. .

Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan said that there are already many problems, we will not allow public funds to be wasted.

On this, the Chief Justice of Pakistan remarked that plans must be made, but everything should be under the constitution, if governments change, the plans are suspended, development plans should not be under individual personalities, we are not concerned with what the plans are. Going, there should be transparency.

Later, the Supreme Court adjourned the hearing of the case for 3 weeks.
