Supreme Court overturns prosecutor on overturning Bill Cosby’s conviction

Incarnation of the ideal father in his own television show, William Henry Cosby Jr, of his full name, had been convicted of sexual assault in 2018 and sentenced to a minimum sentence of three years in prison (10 years maximum). He was freed on June 30 following a technical decision by the Pennsylvania State Supreme Court. Accused by sixty women of sexual assault and sometimes rape, covered by the prescription, the actor was imprisoned for having sexually assaulted, in 2004, Andrea Constand, a woman who worked for Temple University in Philadelphia.

The actor had appealed his conviction, believing that justice had improperly used a statement he had made under oath in another case. Last June, justice had given him reason and had released him.

The Montgomery prosecutor had seized the Supreme Court to reopen the case, but the latter dismissed the case.
