PELITA Air (flight code IP), opened a new Jakarta-Aceh-Jakarta route by making its first flight from Terminal 3 of Soekarno-Hatta Airport Jakarta (CGK) to Aceh’s Sultan Iskandar Muda Airport (BTJ) on Wednesday 3 April 2024. Opening of new flight route This adds a total of 12 Pelita Air flight routes from the west to the east of Indonesia, after previously in December 2023 Pelita Air opened a non-stop flight route Jakarta-Sorong-Jakarta.
The inaugural flight ceremony for this route was held at Aceh’s Sultan Iskandar Muda Airport (BTJ) on April 3 2024. The opening of this route further complements Pelita Air’s flight route from the west to the east of Indonesia.
“The opening of the Jakarta-Aceh-Jakarta route is a form of Pelita Air’s commitment to realizing air connectivity from western Indonesia to eastern Indonesia, in accordance with Pelita Air’s tagline this year, namely ‘Painting the Sky of the Archipelago’, with almost all destinations in big cities in Indonesia already served by Pelita Air flights. “Apart from that, the addition of this new route was carried out to support the increasing need for flights to Aceh during the Eid holiday period,” said PT Pelita Air Service President Director Dendy Kurniawan.
Pelita Air operates regular flight services on the Jakarta-Aceh-Jakarta route every day with a frequency of 7 times a week using an Airbus A320-200 aircraft with a capacity of 180 economy class or Silver Class seats.
With the opening of this new route, a total of 12 destinations have been served by Pelita Air flights, namely Jakarta, Bali, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Padang, Palembang, Pekanbaru, Balikpapan, Pontianak, Banjarmasin, Sorong and Aceh. In the future, Pelita Air will continue to open travel routes to other favorite tourist and business destinations in Indonesia. (Z-7)
