On the 28th, Hyundai Motor Group signed the 『Cooperative Agreement for Hosting the 2030 Busan World Expo』 with the ‘2030 Busan World Expo Bid Committee (herefollowing referred to as the Bid Committee)’ at the D Tower in Gwanghwamun, Seoul, including vehicle support during the BIE inspection team’s visit to Korea. It was announced that the two countries agreed to cooperate with each other in order to strengthen their activities to attract the Busan World Expo this year.
The signing ceremony was attended by Vice President Kim Dong-wook of Hyundai Motor Group and Secretary General Yoon Sang-jik of the Bidding Committee.
With the signing of this agreement, Hyundai Motor Group will provide eight Genesis G80 electrified models (Electrified G80) and four Universe (limousine buses, etc.) A total of 12 units are supported.
In addition, Hyundai Motor Group has decided to actively cooperate in attracting Busan through attracting activities using group infrastructure, etc., not only during the BIE due diligence period but also until the end of November when the venue for the 2030 World Expo is decided.
