Support Face ID unlocking while wearing a mask, iOS 15.4 will be updated next week

Apple will launch a new generation of iPhone SE, iPad Air and other new products this spring, and also announced the release of iOS 15.4, watchOS 8.5, tvOS 15.4 and macOS Monterey 12.3 next week. The exact date is still uncertain.

This iOS 15.4 update has many important features, and one of the most anticipated features is the Face ID unlocking of the iPhone. Apple claims it has updated the Face ID system to recognize the area around the user’s eyes and unlock it even when wearing a mask, but it’s currently only available on iPhone 12 and later.

In addition, iOS 15.4 also improves the iCloud keychain function, adds 37 new Emoji and other functions; iPadOS 15.4 and macOS Monterey 12.3 both add universal control functions, users can wirelessly control iPad and another Mac through the keyboard and mouse of the main computer .

macOS 12.3 adds support for the PS5 DualSense adaptive trigger and the ScreenCaptureKit framework for high-performance screen recording.

At the press conference, Apple launched a new generation of iPhone SE, iPad Air, new Mac Mac Studio equipped with the latest Apple Silicon “M1 Ultra” chip, as well as the Studio Display screen with built-in A13 bionic chip, and additionally launched the green iPhone 13 and Pine Ridge. Taiwan’s official website will open pre-orders for the latest iPhone SE at 9 pm on March 11, and it will be officially released on March 18, priced at 13,900 yuan (64GB), 15,500 yuan (128GB), and 19,000 yuan (256GB).
