There are more and more devices equipped with USB-C ports on the market, and some of them support fast charging. In addition to the dedicated charger, users must use the corresponding charging cable to enjoy the convenience of fast charging. When USB-IF announced the USB Type-C 2.1 specification last year, it introduced support for 240W charging. Now some accessory manufacturers have finally launched the first cable corresponding to 240W high-speed charging.
The transmission rates of the three charging cables are different
The manufacturer Club 3D released 3 USB-C cables that support 240W charging in one go. The model CAC-1573 is printed with the 240W charging logo and USB 2.0 data transfer speed. In other words, this cable is only suitable for high-speed charging. Model CAC-1575 not only supports 240W charging, but also supports USB4 Gen 2×2 20Gbps data transfer. Finally, the model CAC-1576 supports both 240W charging and USB4 Gen 3×2, which means this cable also supports high-speed data transfer at 40Gbps.
Price listing arrangement not announced
It is a pity that Club 3D has not yet announced the price and listing arrangement of the three USB-C charging cables. At present, the maximum charging power of mobile phones and laptops is regarding 100W. More manufacturers will follow suit. In fact, most gaming laptop chargers support 230W. When consumers buy USB-C cables in the future, they may also consider what device they are used for and whether they need fast charging. .
