Supply Chain National Capacity Summit Jakarta 2024 Brings Together Nearly 10 Thousand Participants

The SUPPLY Chain & National Capacity Summit Jakarta 2024, which lasted for three days, successfully brought together more than 9,694 upstream oil and gas industry stakeholder participants.

For three days, this event facilitated various discussion sessions, panels, and Focus Group Discussions (FGD) that discussed strategic issues in managing the national upstream oil and gas supply chain.

SKK Migas Deputy for Business Support Rudi Satwiko, in his closing report, said that during the three-day event, the 2024 Supply Chain & National Capacity Summit involved 28 Cooperation Contract Contractors (KKKS) and 39 partners, with 27 of them opening exhibition booths.

At this event there are also booths for National Capacity, CIVD, CHSEMS, Customs as a form of coaching for vendors to understand and actively participate in the procurement of the upstream oil and gas industry.

“The series of Supply Chain & National Capacity Summit 2024 was filled with the signing of several Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) that strengthen collaboration and prepare the upstream oil and gas industry to face existing challenges,” he explained.

Previously, Head of SKK Migas Dwi Soetjipto explained that the challenges faced by the upstream oil and gas industry are increasingly complex, especially with the existence of a number of national strategic upstream oil and gas projects targeted to start production between 2027 and 2030.

“By strengthening an efficient and integrated supply chain, SKK Migas is interested in ensuring that strategic upstream oil and gas projects run according to schedule,” he said.

During the three-day event, the event was attended by a number of VVIP guests, including the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, and the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Arifin Tasrif.

Their presence shows the importance of national synergy in developing supply chains and strengthening national capacity.

Coordinating Minister Luhut also expressed his appreciation for the progress achieved by SKK Migas in implementing digitalization, including in the management of the upstream oil and gas sector supply chain.

One of the important agendas of this event is Leadership Talks and COO Forum. This session presents company leaders in the oil and gas sector, where they share their views on solutions to face the challenges of the upstream oil and gas industry going forward.

On the closing day, SKK Migas gave awards to KKKS and individuals who contributed significantly to the progress of the upstream oil and gas industry.

“We would like to thank all KKKS and service providers who have participated in this event. Hopefully we can all benefit from SCM governance, and improve effectiveness, efficiency, and provide added value to the upstream oil and gas industry as a whole,” concluded Rudi. (Z-1)
