The shop is located on K. Christensensvej 1 at the intersection opposite Meny above Skalborg Bakke.
The German group has previously been on a major acquisition spree in North Jutland. The grocery chain has since March 2023 acquired five former Aldi stores in North Jutland for a total registered price of DKK 190 million.
The first Lidl store in Denmark opened back in 2005, and today the chain has over 150 stores nationwide, including 13 in North Jutland.
Nordjyske has unsuccessfully tried to get a comment from Lidl to ask what the land will be used for.
