Everyone who has to refuel before going to work has complained about it at least once in recent months. Indeed, the price of fuel has skyrocketed because of the current conflict in Eastern Europe. To help consumers, the government has already implemented a reduction of 18 cents at the pump. A measure that will soon be replaced by another. However, a supermarket chain went much further by offering a liter at 85 cents. And this, until the start of the school year.
The fuel check
As mentioned above, the state helps us currently up to 18 cents per liter of fuel purchased. This takes effect as a general discount. However, this reduction will surely gradually disappear. From 18 cents, it will be reduced little by little before disappearing completely at the end of this year.
Instead, exceptional aid of 100 euros will be put in place for those who receive less than 2,000 euros net per month. Obtaining this fuel check and its amount will of course depend on certain criteria. The biggest riders will be the priority targets of this new measure. Either way, the state discount you get when you fill up at the pump in your supermarket will soon disappear.
A worker fuel allowance could be implemented on October 1. It would gradually replace the fuel discount.

The help of the state
Gabriel Attal, the new Minister Delegate for Public Accounts, recently spoke on the subject in an interview with our colleagues from the daily “Le Monde”. According to the latter, the employment executive to carry out “a policy of strong protection of the French against inflation”.

Another condition is also necessary to take advantage of this more than attractive price. Thus, this offer is only unlocked after obtaining a voucher at checkout. The latter is obtained after spending 120 euros in a Casino store. Once you have obtained the voucher, do not expect to build up a large stock. This offer is valid for a full tank of less than 40 litres.

Some Total stations offer a 10 cent discount
Since June, TotalEnergies has announced that its motorway stations will apply a reduction of 10 to 12 euro cents. And this, for motorists refueling. And this, under pressure from the government. Indeed, the Minister of the Economy, Bruno Le Maire, had asked the giants of the energy sector to make an “effort” in the direction of the consumers.
Thus, 120 service stations located on the motorways of France practice this price reduction at the pump. This is good news for those who plan to use their car to go on vacation this summer.
