Global entity carries out new round of tests to identify superintelligents in 18 cities in the country

September 2023 – The Mensa Brasil Association, an entity that brings together people with high intellectual abilities in the country and official representative of Mensa Internacional, the main high IQ organization in the world, is intensifying actions to identify people with intelligence well above the average, popularly called “super intelligent”.
On 9/23, 9/30 and 10/7, the entity promotes new rounds of admission tests, with intelligence quotient (IQ) assessment, in 18 Brazilian cities: Aracaju (SE), Belém (PA), Belo Horizonte (MG), Brasília (DF), Campinas (SP), Curitiba (PR), Fortaleza (CE), João Pessoa (PB), Goiânia (GO), Macapá (AP), Natal (RN), Porto Alegre (RS) , Recife (PE), Ribeirão Preto (SP), Rio de Janeiro (RJ), São Paulo (SP), Vale do Aço (MG) and Vale do Paraíba (SP).
The assessments are aimed at people aged 17 or over and who are studying or have studied higher education. The test location and time are communicated individually and privately to registrants. The tests are carried out in person, under the supervision of a psychology professional, in accordance with guidelines from the Federal Psychology Council (CFP).
According to Rodrigo Sauaia, president of the Mensa Brasil Association, the topic of high cognitive capabilities is of paramount importance for the country. “Intelligence is an increasingly strategic tool for the development and evolution of society, in all fields of human life. Therefore, we need to identify and promote it in Brazil. With this, we will be able to better take advantage of these capabilities, for the benefit of individuals and humanity”, explains Sauaia.
“Bringing this topic onto the national agenda is essential for people with high intelligence, by providing environments that help in the development of their skills and potential, which are often unknown to the people themselves, their families, their teachers and their co-workers”, he notes. Currently, the entity has 2,600 super-intelligent Brazilians identified across the country. According to mapping, the state of São Paulo leads the ranking, with 1226 super intelligent people. Next are Rio de Janeiro, with 298 people, Minas Gerais, with 209, Paraná, with 193, and Rio Grande do Sul, with 115.
