Students from a school in Concepción photographed their classmates and teachers, “rated” them and then shared them through an application. From the establishment they recognized this fact and confirmed an investigation. The authorities are already aware of this worrying fact of violation. The details below:

A worrying situation was recorded during the last days inside the Marcela Paz School of Concepción, in the Bío Bío region, following it was revealed that average second-year students took photos of female students and teachers, and then shared them on Discord to rate them.

According to information handled by Radio Bío Bío, in total there are at least 10 students those that were detected using said platform.

Discord is an application that allows send messages, audios, videos and morebetween people and communities. Users are millions all over the world.

A complaint to which he agreed BioBioChile, gives an account of facts that denigrate and violate members of the educational community of the establishment. This by students who took pictures of classmates and teachers, qualified them with a score for their physique and then spread them through the application. In addition, the complaint states, they shared other types of material.

It was the students themselves who reported this situation at school, activating the cyberbullying protocol, said the director of the establishment, Juan Ignacio Hurtado.

“It is an application, that they participated, where they used weights or ratings of some members of her class and some teachers”, detailed the director of the school.


The investigation inside the enclosure is ongoing and since the establishment they do not rule out filing a complaint with the police.

“The results or the sanctions, watch out, they cannot be what one would like. Here we cannot forget that in a schoolin a school, the training aspect is what can prevail, regardless of whether we can also generate some type of sanctions or we refer this to some external entity and we can reach other instances (…) the regulations, sometimes it is not as expeditious as our proxies would like”Hurtado said.

Eduardo Castillo, deputy director of the Superintendence of Education, confirmed that filed an ex officio complaint for this case and requested all the records from the school.

“We enter the complaint classified as critical here in the Superintendency of Education, that means that certain much more expeditious deadlines should be respected, ”said the director(s).

Through a statement that was published on the web page of the Marcela Paz School, the parents were informed that once they became aware of what happened with the high school students, the protocol of the School Coexistence Regulations was activated, to know those responsible and apply the corresponding sanctions.

They also indicate that reject “all measures of self-protection, adopted by any of our memberssince under any circumstance they hinder the internal investigation process that we carry out and do not collaborate with the peaceful resolution of conflicts or with the promotion of a healthy coexistence.”
