Super Nintendo World: Nintendo Zone at Universal Studios Hollywood Park to Open February 17, 2023 – New Images – Nintendo

Step by step, Shigeru Miyamoto is realizing his dream, transforming Nintendo into a global entertainment giant in line with Disney. Thus, following the Japanit’s the turn of UNITED STATES to have the right to his zone Super Nintendo World in the amusement park Universal Studios Hollywood. The themed area will officially open its doors next February 17 but the US press (notably the Los Angeles Times et Variety) has already been able to pay a short visit. The opportunity once once more to see that the Hollywood area will be almost identical to that ofOsaka. You will find most of the attractions of the Japanese park and the same Mushroom Kingdom (as it appears elsewhere in Super Mario Bros. Movies on screens around the world next spring– see our dedicated news). To enter the area, visitors will first need to enter the iconic green pipe and walk through the Château de Peach before landing in the fabulous world of Mario. Obviously, we will find all the characters of the Marioverse, in costumes or through animations appearing behind screens or through VR glasses. As in Japan, four interactive mini-games will collect gold mushrooms and collect points like in a video game. To collect your points and know your score, you will otherwise always have to buy a connected bracelet (reusable at each visit) and pair up with a dedicated application. A priori, the area Super Nintendo World of the amusement park Universal Studios Hollywood has been the subject of special care and fans will be pleased to spot the many references to Nintendo games scattered throughout such as his notes from Super Mario Sunshine that only gamers will be spotted… The Los Angeles Times also noted very amusing details such as the title of this book from the library of Bowser “How to Talk to Princesses” or even this Bomb-omb factory! The Super Nintendo World d’Hollywood can also count on a new attraction inspired by Mario Kart. This is an interactive circuit where, with VR goggles on his nose, the “player” will have to manage to steer his kart on different tracks (under water, above the clouds, etc.) to collect items in order to swing at different targets. We will aim simply by looking at our target and we will swing our item by pressing a button. A totally immersive attraction that aims to be very ambitious and that we can’t wait to discover. Unfortunately for the moment, no Super Nintendo World planned in Europe… On the other hand, note that next year, a third area Super Nintendo World will open at Orlando et the next year another to Singapore. To find out more, do not hesitate to take a look at the articles (in English) of the Los Angeles Times and of Variety. Also find some images and a presentation video on this page.
