We were talking to you a few years ago of the impressive cast of the new Super Mario Bros animated film. co-produced by Nintendo and Illumination. Unfortunately, the release of the film is postponed to April 7, 2023.

It is through from a post on Twitter that Nintendo, or rather, apparently Shigeru Miyamoto himself that the announcement was made:
This is Miyamoto. After consulting with Chris-san, my partner at Illumination on the Super Mario Bros. film, we decided to move the global release to Spring 2023–April 28 in Japan and April 7 in North America. My deepest apologies but I promise it will be well worth the wait.

The tweet translates to “It’s Miyamoto. After consulting with Chris-san, my partner at Illumination on the Super Mario Bros. movie, we have decided to move the worldwide release to Spring 2023, April 28 in Japan and April 7 in North America. My sincere apologies, but I promise you it will be worth it. »
Chris-san is Chris Meledandri, producer at Illumination.
In the meantime, you can watch for free the original Super Mario Bros. animated movie. which has been restored in 4K!
