Super League: Siebatcheu leaves Young Boys for Union Berlin – rts.ch

Jordan Siebatcheu (26) leaves Young Boys to try his luck in the Bundesliga. The American international has indeed been transferred to Union Berlin, a club coached by Switzerland’s Urs Fischer.

Siebatcheu was the top scorer in the last Super League championship with 22 goals. Union Berlin will pay between 6 and 8 million euros (depending on bonuses) for the transfer of the striker.

The American player arrived in Bern in the summer of 2020, on loan from Rennes. During his first season, he had been champion but he had remained somewhat in the shadow of Jean-Pierre Nsame. During the past year, less good for YB, he distinguished himself by scoring 27 goals in 45 matches, in all competitions.

In the German capital, Siebatcheu will replace Nigerian Taiwo Awoniyi, recruited by Nottingham Forest, promoted to the Premier League.
