The Kuwait Wing of Manjpada, a fan club of India’s leading football club Kerala Blasters, has organized the football tournament “Super Cup-2023”. 6 teams from different parts of Kuwait participated in the tournament which was held on Friday 25th August at Faheel Sooksaba Football Stadium.
The tournament was inaugurated by the President of the Yellow Force Kuwait Wing Jeril Kurian. In the final match, Abbasia Vikings led by Peter Anthony defeated Farwaniya Boys by 5 goals to 2. Mangaf Marvels won the third place match. Opponents were Jahara Super Giants.
The Yellow Force Kuwait Wing is organizing various programs to welcome the Indian football team arriving in Kuwait as part of the FIFA Football World Cup Asian Qualifiers. This tournament organized as part of it was led by the Secretary of the Yellow Army Kuwait Wing Shahnawaz Basheer, Treasurer Shibu Kuriakos, Jamsheed Aidid, Subin Mathew, Biju NP, Tenson Kurian, Lijo Koshi and others.
Officials said that this year itself, an extensive football tournament will be organized with the participation of various football academies in Kuwait.
