A great staging accompanies the protagonist of the intermission, Rihanna. This is the singer’s first live performance following five years of absence from the stage and seven since the release of Anti (2016), her last studio album. Rihanna thus joins a list of famous artists who have performed at the Super Bowl halftime, including Beyoncé, Madonna, Coldplay, Katy Perry, U2, Lady Gaga, Michael Jackson, Jennifer Lopez, Shakira and The Weeknd. Last year, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar performed.
