Sunat Reports Over S/1.5 Million Income from Karol G Concerts: Tax Obligations Verified

More than S/1.5 million in income was recorded during the two concerts offered by the singer Karol G on April 12 and 13 at the San Marcos Stadium. The National Superintendence of Customs and Tax Administration (Sunat) provided the balance of the Initial Verification of Compliance with Tax Obligations (VICOT) interventions that were carried out during both dates.

A total of 35 tax inspectors verified the commercial activities in the 94 points of sale (40 dedicated to the sale of alcoholic beverages, 39 to hamburgers, sausages and soft drinks, and 15 to merchandising), which operated during the presentations of the Colombian artist, reporting a total income of S/1 million 562,322.

According to the report of the tax entity, the sale of alcoholic beverages reported an income of S/ 878,885, while the hamburger, chorizo ​​and soda stores registered profits of S/ 572,957 and the merchandising stores carried out commercial activities for S/ 110,480. Suns.

Additionally, as part of the control actions, the inspectors verified the registration in the Single Taxpayer Registry (RUC) of the sales points, as well as the issuance of payment receipts for each transaction.

Sunat highlighted that these interventions are carried out in massive events organized in the different cities of the country to project total sales, allowing the validation of the income that verified taxpayers must declare.

In addition, he reminded citizens that it is important that those attending concerts and other massive shows request proof of payment when purchasing a product or service, because this guarantees that taxpayers declare all the income obtained and pay taxes. that correspond to them, promoting the formalization of the economy.
