Summer weather with up to 25 degrees is expected in the middle of the week

However, there is still no hope of packing away the rain gear just yet. The week begins with rain and showers.

This is according to meteorologist on duty Anesten Devasakayam at the Danish Meteorological Institute, DMI.

– Today (Monday, ed.) we set out with mostly cloudy weather, showers and rain, which lies over the central part of the country. During the day it clears up from the west and south, and then there will be little or no sun and only a few showers, he says.

When the night of Tuesday draws in, however, the clouds will once more move in over the country, and the prospect of further rain will approach.

Tuesday starts with a little or some sun, but otherwise it will be cloudy with rain and showers from the south.

– Showers can locally be strong and with thunder, says Anesten Devasakayam.

It is mainly Jutland that is in the risk zone for the most rain, but it can affect the whole country throughout the week.

Wednesday continues the same story as Monday and Tuesday with showers and a bit of sun.

For a short time, you can send the rain jacket and rubber boots on holiday on Thursday and Friday.

A high pressure is rolling into Denmark on Thursday, which means that you can expect dry and warm weather.

The temperature will rise a notch and may creep up to 22 degrees, says the meteorologist.

– On Friday, the high pressure is still there. It will be a dry day with sun. Here, the temperature can reach 25 degrees, he says.

There is the greatest probability of hot summer weather on Zealand and Bornholm.

But it will be a short pleasure. Because as it looks at the moment, the high pressure will move on into the weekend.

– It seems that it will become more unstable once more, says Anesten Devasakayam.
