It is the fortnight of all possible. The place where stars rub shoulders with hundreds of anonymous young people who come to perfect their art in academies and orchestras. Where we come across a piano divinity in a supermarket before admiring her virtuosity on stage in the evening. That’s what Verbier and its festival is all about: a sense of cool that weaves its way into almost every interstice of the resort, a daytime relaxation that is followed by an upscale and select side at concert time.
