So that, for a surprise, is a nice one. The Summer Game Fest has lifted the veil on a brand new game called… Flashback 2. And yes, it is indeed the comeback of the Flashback franchise, something that no one really expected… except those who were really on the lookout.
30 years later
In August 2021, we learned with great surprise of the existence of Flashback 2the sequel to a cult game, Flashbackoriginally released in 1992. Suffice to say that no one expected it and since then the game has looked so early in the dark. But it was without counting on the Summer Game Fest which allowed the project to truly show itself and to make everyone understand that, yes, its development is now well advanced.
Note in passing that it is Microids who is in charge of this brand new game and that for the occasion, it is Paul Cuisse who is piloting the site. This one is none other than a veteran developer in the industry, behind the first Flashbackbut also Shaq Fu or Time Commando.

Flashback 2 will slip us back into the skin of Conrad B. Hart, always immersed in the heart of a futuristic universe with a particular artistic direction. For oncethe software will take the form of an action-platform game with a resolutely old-school aspect (but wanted), obviously in homage to its predecessor.

What is Summer Game Fest?
No E3 this year, but we can still count on another world-class event: the Summer Game Fest, a big show dedicated to announcements of video games to come this year or the following years. What is the program for Summer Game Fest 2022?
Among the games not to miss, there is in particular the heir to Dead Space, The Callisto Protocol, which shows us its first gameplay images.
