Thrissur: Navachitra Film Society is organizing a two-day summer film festival. The film festival will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday at the Kerala Sahitya Academy Hall. Nine notable films from world cinema are screened over two days.
Directed by two-time Oscar-winning Iranian screenwriter and filmmaker Asghar Farhadi, “Everybody Knows” has garnered 250 accolades, including the globally acclaimed anime Your Name in Japanese, Darren Aronofsky’s Requiem for a Dream, Alfonso Cuaron’s Golden Lion for Best Picture at the Venice Film Festival, and three Oscars. Roma is showing on Tuesday..
Wednesday will also feature Free Solo, French director Claire Denis’ Let the Sunshine In, Austrian film Goodnight Mummy and Richard Linklater’s Boyhood. The show is at 11, two, 4.15 and 6.15.
