“Museum Academy for Kids”, “Animal Tuesday” and more

St. Pölten (OTS/NLK) – The Museum of Lower Austria in St. Pölten starts with five ongoing exhibitions and a wide range of programs such as the “Museum Academy for Kids”, the “Animal Tuesday”, the “Sunday in the Museum Garden” and various museum tours House of History and its House for Nature during the school summer holidays:

The “Animal Tuesday” invites you every week from 2 p.m. to a guided tour of over 40 living native animal species in the House for Nature, followed by commented feeding of the European pond turtles, dice and grass snakes, sand and green lizards. On July 2nd and August 3rd, the “Sunday in the Museum Garden” offers exciting creative and puzzle stations with the “Researcher: Inside Backpack” from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. including a collector’s pass.

With weekly changing themes from the House of History and the House of Nature, the “Museum Academy for Kids” takes place every Tuesday in July and August from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Young researchers between the ages of five and twelve can discover the appropriate parts of the two houses or special exhibitions and take part in interactive workshops.

In addition, there are also museum tours through the House of History, the House of Nature and the special exhibitions “Rebellious Country. Strike, protest and obstinacy”, “The righteous – Courage is a matter of choice” (until August 15) and “Shout it out! How Animals & Plants Communicate”.

Last but not least, the young museum guests can also take games, fun and excitement with them on holiday with the “Poldi Summer Post”: The package, which is sent to order from July 6 to August 31, is for children between the ages of five and ten intended and, in addition to handicraft fun, also contains a Poldi story in which the museum mascot embarks on a journey of discovery in the area around St. Pölten.
