He is looking for a new adventure.
Actor and presenter James Corden (43) wants to stop hosting the US program “The Late Late Show” in the summer of 2023. It was a “very difficult” decision, but he had long thought regarding finding a new adventure, Corden told the industry portal “Deadline.com” on Thursday. But he was “thrilled” to have extended his contract with the broadcaster CBS for another year.
Corden is British but lives in the United States, where the father of three has hosted the “Late Late Show” since 2015. In the popular show, Cordon became known through clips in which he reenacted musicals and Disney films together with stars on busy intersections or organized “Carpool Karaoke”. He drives around with celebrities in the car and sings with them. Stars like Barbra Streisand, Adele, Lady Gaga, Madonna, Paul McCartney, Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber have taken part. The videos are then aired on his late night show.
Corden, who acted in films like “The Three Musketeers”, “Cats” or “The Prom”, has also presented awards such as the Grammys and the Tony Awards.
