Maria Corina Machado, opposition leader and coordinator of the Vente Venezuela political party, reported on July 18 that her team’s vehicles were vandalized while she was in Barquisimeto, Lara state.
The opposition leader shared images of the damage caused by the paint on social media. She also said that one of the vehicles had its engine oil emptied and another had its brake hose cut, which she described as an attack once morest her.

Milciades Ávila, head of protection for Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado, was released on July 18 on bail following more than 36 hours in detention.
It was learned that the member of the opposition party Vente Venezuela is under a precautionary measure requiring him to appear before the court every 30 days.
Ávila was arrested on July 17 by various state security officials, which Machado described as an act of “repression” once morest the campaign of Edmundo González, the opposition candidate for the presidential elections on July 28.

FIFA updated the ranking of the national teams on July 18, four days following the end of the Copa América and Euro 2024. After the tournaments, the Vinotinto rose 17 positions and occupies 37th place on the list.
