Asunción, IP Agency.- Within the framework of the actions of the Summary Plan, the National Secretariat of Culture (SNC) conducted the cycle “Young Dance – New Dance 2024”, under the auspices of the National Folk Ballet, aimed at students of educational institutions.
The cycle began in March with visits to 10 institutions, reaching around 2,000 basic and middle school students, as well as future teachers with dance workshops. The Site of Memory and Cultural Center 1A Ycuá Bolaños was the setting where this week ended with the presentations and debates, components of the cycle.
1,930 people participated, including students, parents and teachers from educational institutions in Asunción, Caazapá, Limpio, Capiatá and Luque, who benefited from the project that has been carried out for 30 uninterrupted years by the Directorate of National Casts of the General Directorate of Diversity, Rights and Cultural Processes of the National Secretary of Culture.
The Young Dance Cycle has two stages, one with “Dance” workshops and the other with presentations and debates. In this cycle “Strengthening what is ours” was the theme that started with a focus on rights and values.
Inclusion, respect, art and culture
The first stage of “Danza Joven” ended successfully, this project being characterized by its inclusive approach, which seeks to collaborate with education through art, the dissemination of culture, and access to artistic manifestations from the State, promoting the exercise of cultural law.
It also seeks to promote values that allow them to be strengthened and exercised in a person’s daily life.
The Directorate of National Casts led by its director, Víctor Rodríguez, and his team coordinates the development of the cycle, involving students as active participants in dance workshops, talks, debates and presentations in public and private schools in the capital, promoting its leading role in the artistic field.
This Young Dance cycle has been in development since 1994, innovating over the years to provide an artistic service of excellence to students of educational institutions.
