Asuncion, IP Agency.- The health professionals incorporated into the Residential Center for Dishabituation and Rehabilitation of Addictions of the Specialized Residential Treatment Division (DITRES), located in the city of Piribebuy, were presented during an event held in the auditorium of the National Center for Prevention and Treatment of Addictions.
The establishment of DITRES is part of one of the most emblematic actions of the Action Plan against Drug Abuse “SUMAR”, which configures a strategic approach, structured around three axes of action: prevention of drug use, treatment and rehabilitation of users for social reintegration and the fight against drug trafficking.
On this occasion, the new officials were welcomed. They will be trained to comply with the Quality Standards for Care for People with Problems Derived from Alcohol and Other Drug Consumption (PPDCAD), as well as in the general and specific protocols, in order to have an optimal preparation for the start-up of the unit.
The technical team of trainers is made up of the director of Drug Demand Reduction of the National Anti-Drug Secretariat, Lic. Rosa Saldivar; Dr. Nelson Gaona, medical director of the Ministry of Health; the administrator Elvira Caballero; the head of Human Resources, Christian Silva; the head of Nursing, Estanislaa Sanabria, all from CENPTRA, and Lic. Luis Chaparro, technical manager of DITRES.
The Director General of the Addiction Center, Dr. Daniel Cantero, and the National Director of Mental Health, Dr. Mirtha Rodríguez Rossi, also participated in the presentation ceremony for the new officials.
