Sharjah: “The Gulf”
His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, promulgated Law No. (4) of 2024 AD, amending some provisions of Law No. (2) of 2018 AD regarding organizations. Sharjah Quran and Sunnah Foundation.
In accordance with the provisions of this law, the text of the so-called Article (5)(5) of Law No. (2) of 2018 is modified to read:
5- “Manage the permission to establish private centers for the recitation of the Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet, establish controls and conditions for this purpose, and supervise and control them in coordination with the competent authorities in accordance with the legislation contained in the National Law.”
According to this law, Article (13-bis) is added to the aforementioned Law No. (2) of 2018, which provides as follows:
13- “In accordance with the provisions of Article (35) of Federal Decree No. (38) of 2022 on the promulgation of the Code of Criminal Procedure, employees approved by the agency and issued by decision of the Minister of Justice, in their respective jurisdictions, have judicial control officials status that can prove violations of the provisions of this law, regulations and decisions.
His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah also issued an Emir’s Decree approving the overall organizational structure of the Prevention and Security Directorate in the Emirate of Sharjah.
In accordance with the decree, the overall organizational structure of the Prevention and Security Authority of the Emirate of Sharjah is approved, subject to the Executive Council passing a resolution to issue the following: The detailed organizational structure of the Authority and the decisions required for the implementation of this decree, including the approval of the administration in accordance with its powers mission statements for each organizational unit within the bureau, and the creation, merging, or elimination of any organizational units that are part of the divisions within the overall organizational structure.
