“The decline of the film industry from Pakistan is a tragedy, it has also led to the discouragement of talent and the elimination of a source of profit in the country. A good amount of revenue is being collected through this industry in neighboring India. In destroying this industry, the filmmakers have played a very important role in destroying it with obscenities and crude scripts.

Mustafa Qureshi mainly belongs to Hyderabad city of Sindh. He was born on 11th May 1938 but these days he is residing in Karachi.

He started his career with Sindhi films and worked in Urdu and Punjabi films but he got more fame from Punjabi films.

Mustafa Qureshi was awarded the Nigar Award thrice for his performance.

In 1979, he was awarded the Nigar Award in the category of Best Supporting Actor for the film ‘Lal Aandhi’.

He was subsequently awarded the Nigar Award for the third time for his outstanding performance in the film ‘Sher Khan’ in 1981 and in the film ‘Rustam Te Khan’ in 1983.

In addition, he was awarded Pride of Performance in 1988 by the Government of Pakistan.

Mustafa Qureshi also actively participated in politics and was involved in the party for several decades following meeting Pakistan Peoples Party leader Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto.
