“Sultan Medical Charitable Clinic: Helping the People of Tripoli Amidst Unemployment, Health Crises and Poverty”

The “Arteries of Tripoli” Association inaugurated its “Sultan Medical Charitable Clinic” in the Al-Bahsas area, under the auspices of the Minister of Public Health in the caretaker government, Dr. Firas Al-Abyad, represented by the head of the Health Authority in the North, Dr. Saad Allah Sabouna, and in the presence of the former mayor of Tripoli, Dr. Riyad Yamak, responsible The association is owned by Al-Masry, representatives of religious, municipal and social bodies, and interested parties.

Al-Masry pointed out that “Tripoli, the city of science and scholars, suffers from persecution and chronic deprivation, not to mention unemployment and successive health crises such as Corona, cholera, and Regan, in light of the collapse of the exchange rate of the Lebanese pound against the dollar,” pointing out that “according to the report of the United Nations committee, the poverty rate has increased.” In Lebanon, from 25% in 2019 to 82% in 2021. She thanked the “Ministry of Health and Doctors Without Borders for their continuous support,” wishing “white hands, philanthropists, and local and international associations to support the dispensary to open a laboratory and x-ray department.”
