Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Emirati astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi published, on Thursday, amazing footage of the planet, stressing the need to preserve it, for the first time from the “Coppola” observation unit aboard the International Space Station.

Al-Neyadi said in a tweet posted on his Twitter account: “I share with you these moments in which I see the Earth for the first time from the observation unit (Coppola) aboard the International Space Station..the further we go from Earth, we see it more beautiful..and we realize the more important it is to preserve it.”

Al-Neyadi had arrived on March 3, accompanied by the Crew-6 mission team, to the International Space Station, aboard the SpaceX Dragon Endeavor, to embark on the longest space mission in the history of the Arabs, which extends for six months.

Emirati astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi appeared, in photos posted by the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Center account on his Twitter page, inside the Japanese “Kibo” unit, in which experiments focus on areas including space medicine, biology, and Earth observation.

Al-Neyadi added in the video attached to the tweet: “With you, we see the first scenes, it is amazing.. It is really amazing. The farther we go from the earth, the more beautiful we see it, and we realize the more important it is to preserve it.”
