On the 19th, as the first case of introducing technology neutrality, KCTV Jeju Broadcasting held a Wi-Fi 6E pilot project and an IPTV service demonstration. At this event, second Vice Minister of Science, Technology and Information Communication Park Yun-gyu and a cable TV industry delegation attended and watched the demonstration, followed by a briefing to hear regarding the industry situation.
On this day, the representatives expressed opinions on the introduction of a 5G specialized network and a review of the business feasibility of healthcare and local O2O services for the advancement of local customized services. It also said that it aims to share a platform that coexists with local small business owners.
In particular, they explained the progress of the introduction of Wi-Fi 6 and 6E and the platform, and requested that the local public Wi-Fi be prioritized for the local SO. In addition, it is known that the trend of promoting ICT public-private cooperation, such as Japan’s digital rural city national initiative, was explained as an excellent case.
